Course Description:
This course aims to improve students’ ability to develop concepts/theories in the field of chemical engineering. The main studies include: material size reduction devices, material size enlargement devices, solid-solid separators, solid-liquid separators, liquid-liquid separators. The learning method in this course is carried out centered on students and based on chemical engineering cases/industrial cases (Case based learning)/chemical engineering assignment projects (project-based learning)/research activities (research-based method)/industry activities (industry-based method). Graduate learning outcomes are achieved effectively and encourage the formation of a comprehensive (holistic) mindset in the field of material size reduction devices, material size enlargement devices, solid-solid separators, solid-liquid separators, liquid-liquid separators to solve problems in the field (contextual). The assessment process is carried out with observation assessments, written tests, assignments, and quizzes according to the rubric provided.

- Solid size reduction tools: crusher, mill, grinder
- Solid size enlargement tools: extruder, molder, granulator and Solid-Solid Separation Tools (Screening)
- Solid-liquid separator tools: floatation, filtration, sedimentation
- Solid-gas separator tools: scrubber and cyclone
