Course Description:
This course supports students’ knowledge of using technical drawings as an engineering language by studying the basic rules of technical drawings and their implementation. This course will discuss the basics of technical drawings, lines and letters, basic construction, projection drawings, working drawings, sectional drawings, measurements and recording, reading drawings, and process flow diagrams. The learning method in this course is centered on students and based on chemical engineering cases/industrial cases (case-based learning). Graduate learning outcomes are achieved interactively and effectively to solve problems in the field (contextual).
Course Outline:
- Basics of engineering drawing, lines, and letters
- Basic construction, projection drawing (orthogonal and axonometric projection)
- Cutting drawings, dimensions, and recording
- Reading drawings and process flow diagrams
