212060620 – Heterogeneous Reactor
Course Description:
This course aims to improve students’ ability in developing concepts/theories in the field of chemical engineering and designing and/or evaluating process systems in the chemical industry including heterogeneous reactions. The main studies include: heterogeneous reactions, solid-gas reactions, catalyst deactivation, packed bed reactors, fixed bed multitube fluidized bed reactors, trickle bed reactors, and fluid-fluid (bubble) reactors. The learning method in this course is carried out centered on students and based on basic theories with examples of chemical engineering cases/industrial cases (Case based learning. Graduate learning outcomes are achieved effectively and the learning process prioritizes a scientific approach in the case of heterogeneous reactor design to solve problems in the field of chemical engineering (contextual).
